The Centre for Drug Discovery and Development with the Department of Biomedical Engineering jointly organised the Indo-UK Expert Lecture Series-4 on Genome Engineering for the Future: CRISPR at the crossroads of Student Experience and Research Impact during the inauguration ceremony of the Manipal University College Students exchange program. Our Vice Chancellor, Dr. T. Sasipraba welcomed the invited special guest Dr. Kalpana Surendranath, Associate Professor and Reader in Genome Engineering, Leader of Genome Engineering Lab, Westminster University, United Kingdom. She is also a Visiting International Professor at Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai, India. A total of 200 students from the Department of Biomedical Engineering, 20 students from Manipal University College, Malaysia and Medical Laboratory Technology students participated in the Lecture Series.
